About Unitarian Universalism
Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion that encompasses many
faith traditions. Unitarian Universalists include people who identify
as Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, Atheists, Agnostics,
Humanists, and others. Imagine a religion that embraces many different
beliefs including yours.
Unitarian Universalist Principles
There are seven principles which Unitarian Universalist congregations affirm and promote: The inherent worth and dignity of every person; Justice, equity and compassion in human relations; Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations; A free and responsible search for truth and meaning; The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large; The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all; Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

Sundays at UUCiL
We enjoy a variety of worship programs and styles. Most services are
led by our minister, with significant lay participation. Guest speakers
often bring us unique and challenging messages. Coffee, tea and conversation
follow each service, usually under our shady arbor.
Religious Education
At UUCiL, we welcome all young people, babies through senior high youth,
to join us each Sunday. Children may stay with their families in
our sanctuary during the Service or they may join others of their
age in one of our Religious Education classes.
Activities
Members and friends of UUCiL are involved in many activities in the
church and in the greater community. These include choir, circle
suppers, interfaith housing, men's group, Minds on Fire, Open Heart
Kitchen, OWL, Shawl Ministry, Sunday potlucks, UU and Friends Outings,
and the Young Adult Group (YAG)
Volunteer Opportunities
There are many meaningful ways to use your time and talent to benefit the UUCiL community. While making a valued contribution, you also have an opportunity to get better acquainted with other members and friends who share your interests. Volunteer opportunities include the following: Children's Religious Education, Sunday Morning Worship Services, Buildings and Grounds, Office Support, and Social Event Support.Shakespeare at UUCiL
Each year, two actors from the Ashland Oregon Shakespeare Festival present two special evening performances at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Livermore, 1893 North Vasco Road. They perform selections from Shakespeare, as well as classic and contemporary literature.Celebrate the seasons at UUCiL
Celebrate the seasons! The Unitarian Universalist has a number of activities throughout the year. From picnics to Shakespeare to Mardi Gras to camping trips, you'll find something on this list of interest to you!
