Religious Education Program

At the Unitarian Universalist Church in Livermore, we welcome children and youth! All first-time visitors are warmly invited to our program. Ours is a cooperative program: classes are staffed by volunteers from the congregation and assisted by our Director of Religious Education (DRE) as well as our Youth Advisor. The Religious Education (RE) Community, the DRE, and the Youth Advisor work together to design programs for children and youth that include Sunday School classes, youth social activities, youth service projects, and children’s worship. The RE Community meets quarterly and we invite you to join us! Our children learn about themselves and their community, discover world religions, and focus on living out the values of compassion, justice, and generosity. You can speak with our Director of Religious Education, Rennie Tomley, about registering for the program.

Religious Education Goals

• To experience moments of wonder and awe together.
• To nurture open hearts, minds, and spirits.
• To create safe space to bring our whole selves.
• To share the collective wealth of our Unitarian Universalist heritage.
• To instill a desire to be agents of change in our world.
