A Time for War; A Time for Peace
Rev. Grace Simons, preaching
Wendy Mason – Accompanist
President Obama invoked the "Just War" tradition when he accepted the Nobel Peace Prize recently. There’s no small irony in receiving the prize while in the midst of fighting two wars. I’m no expert on these issues. Let’s consider them together.

Pat Mielke - Accompanist
Some say that human beings are basically selfish. Rev. Lucas begs to differ. Following recent findings in sociology and anthropology, he will argue that we are actually hardwired for altruism. We need to have opportunities to care for others and to be generous.
